President’s Message

Audra Ward

It brings me great pleasure to welcome you to the website of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated®, Tau Epsilon Omega Chapter. I am honored to serve as this chapter’s 10th President, following in the footsteps of nine distinguished women who set the standard and blazed the trail before me.

Since our chartering on November 16, 1991, we have been the chapter that is “large enough to serve, but small enough to care.”  Our members are excited to join the over 1000 chapters of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated® in our commitment to executing the vision of our International President, Glenda Glover, via the Exemplifying Excellence Through Sustainable Service program platform.

Tau Epsilon Omega is focused on providing impactful, hands-on service in the communities of East Point, College Park, and the City of South Fulton. In addition to projects that address the international program targets of Alpha Kappa Alpha, Tau Epsilon Omega facilitates mentoring programs for middle school (AKAdettes) and high school students (PACE). Our signature programs are our Blessings in a Backpack and Snack Pantry initiatives, through which we provide healthy snacks to students who are experiencing food-insecurity. Additionally, we have a robust scholarship program that over the past eight years has allowed us to give over $200,000 to students in East Point, College Park and the City of South Fulton.

Our theme for the year is 20/20 V.I.S.I.O.N. for Excellence in IMPACT. Tau Epsilon Omega welcomes members of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated® who are ready to say "yes" to reactivating with us or transitioning from the undergraduate to graduate level. We warmly invite you to visit one of our monthly meetings or join us at a service project. The ladies of Tau Epsilon Omega Chapter are here to help you become reacquainted with our amazing sisterhood!

Tau Epsilon Omega is “setting the pace…lighting the way!” Please explore our events calendar to learn more about the community service programs our chapter provides, and follow us online on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram. Your support of our events and programs is appreciated.

We look forward to seeing you soon!
